Will Ryo Ishikawa Win?

Submitted by on August 7, 2011 – 11:47 pmNo Comment

19-year-old Ryo Ishikawa (a Saitama native) is one of my favorite golfers. This kid takes it to ‘em on the golf course, just last year he became the first golfer to shoot a 58 on a major tour (PGA Statistics).

Off the golf course, he gives as much as he makes as demonstrated by his pledge to donate all of his 2011 tournament earnings and 100,000 yen (about $1,275.00) per birdie to the victims of the magnitude 9.0 Tohoku earthquake, tsunami and subsequent nuclear disaster. Ryo made 341 birdies in 2010 and was ranked number three on the Japan golf tour money list. Judging by his previous statistics, Ryo’s pledge will be very generous!

Well, I wish Ryo the best in the Bridgestone Invitational. I hope he gets the WIN! You can track the Bridgestone Invitational live leader board here.
