1. Hair Care Tip: Trimming your ends helps keep your hair healthy. Not trimming the hair leads to further splitting and ultimate breakage, unhealthy appearance, and dryness. Every eight weeks is about the right time to trim. This will ensure even, healthy, thicker hair. Don’t cut back on trimming. But make sure your stylist is not scissor happy.(lol)

2. Summer Hair care tip. Since Summer is beginning and some of you or your children will be swimming this is a hair care tip i’d advise. If you’re wearing a relaxer you should never get in the pool without putting conditioner in your hair first. Because the chlorine is not good for relaxed hair, the conditioner acts as a buffer and prevents the chlorine from penetrating the hair follicles.

You don’t want to mess with nature, you want to enhance it. But if your natural color washes out your skin tone consider single-process color. Highlights look best when the stylist uses at least two different shades. You should add more around your face, they can brighten your complexion and bring out your eyes

Keep in mind that due to root growth, all-over coloring will need to be touched up every four to eight weeks, while highlights can last up to two or three months. At the salon, ask for a gloss treatment following your color. Gloss makes hair look shiny and healthy.
