US Navy Offers Japan Evacuation Support for Navy Civilian Family Members

by

Eligible family members of Navy civilians, based on the island of Honshu, Japan, have been authorized voluntary departure to the continental United States for a period not to exceed 30 days.

Whether in Japan, in transit or at their designated safe haven location, all Navy civilians, contractors and employees should call the Navy Family Assistance and Assessment System (NFAAS) 24-hour help line at (877) 414-5358 or access the website to register their families, as well as to get answers to their questions.

Two other sources of information are the Department of Navy Human Resources website, and the Fleet and Family Support Center in Yokosuka, Japan, which is currently open 24/7.
